A mass of Christian burial was celebrated Aug. 28 at St. Aloysius Church for Lawrence E. Lumford, 57. He passed away at his home, peacefully and surrounded by his family, on Aug. 23. Born in New York City, Larry came to Jersey City as a young man and has been a resident since then. He was employed by Port Authority Trans Hudson (PATH) as a passenger conductor. Larry was also a lover of music and worked as a DJ for the “Legends of Vinyl”. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen (nee Ryan); his children, Crystal, Cory, Craig, Christian, Erica, Judith and Daniel; 12 grandchildren; two brothers, three sisters and many nieces and nephews.
