Zacche to be sworn in as new Jersey City police chief

JERSEY CITY – Mayor Steven M. Fulop will swear in Philip Zacche as Chief of the Jersey City Police Department on Tuesday.
Zacche was appointed Acting Chief of the Department in July, with Mayor Fulop citing his strong leadership qualities and decades of supervising experience in the Department.
A 35-year-veteran of the Department, Zacche most recently served as chief of the Investigations Bureau and previously served as commander of the North District for seven years until his promotion to deputy chief in 2012.
