A funeral mass was offered Sept. 27 at St. Joseph of the Palisades Church for Dorothy Marie Campbell, 93, of Guttenberg. She passed away Sept. 24. She was born in Jersey City and lived for many years in West New York before moving to Guttenberg over forty years ago. Dorothy attended St. Joseph of the Palisades’ grammar school and high school and was the assistant VP of Human Resources for US Testing in Hoboken for over 40 years before retiring in 1988. She was a member of the WAC’s Army Corps during World War II as well as a longtime volunteer at Palisades Medical Center and many other local civic associations. Because of her dedication, Dorothy was honored as the Guttenberg Woman of the Year in 2004. She was predeceased by her sister Valerie Tommey and was survived by her cousins, Dennis and Colleen, Sean and Diane Bryne and Mr. and Mrs. William Bremer.
