4-year-old Jersey City boy found after school lockdown

JERSEY CITY — A 4-year old thought to be missing from a Jersey City Heights school was found hiding behind a bathroom door on Oct. 1, but not before school was locked down, and a search conducted.
A spokesperson for the Jersey City police said the boy was reported missing from a trailer classroom at about 12:15 p.m. just off the main school building on Hancock Avenue.
The building was immediately locked down. The boy had apparently requested to use the toilet when he did not immediately return, the teacher reported him missing.
Other units responded to the school and began a search that eventually found the boy hiding in the bathroom.
