Funeral mass was offered Nov. 19 at St. Ann’s R.C. Church Hoboken, for Camille Corea, a lifelong resident of Hoboken. She passed away surrounded by her children on Nov. 15 at the Jersey Shore Medical Center in Neptune. Camille had many achievements and causes that she cherished, especially St. Mary’s Hospital, where she founded a cardiac rehabilitation unit in memory of her late husband, Anthony. She also served as a trustee for Hoboken University Hospital and received the 1986 New Jersey Woman of Achievement Award in Jersey City. Additionally, Camille worked for fifteen years in the clinic at Steven’s Institute. Her most important achievement, however, was to be a mother, spouse, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin and friend.
She was predeceased by her husband, Anthony Corea, and her son, David. Camille will be sorely missed by her daughter, Cara and her husband Joseph Cumbo, and five sons and their spouses, Robert and Gail, Kim and Linda, Marc and Debbie, John and Rose, Christopher and Leslie, along with ten grandchildren and her two sisters, Patricia Politis and Angela Fiori. Services arranged by the Failla Funeral Home, Hoboken.
