BRYNGIL, FRANCES ANNE

Funeral mass took place Nov. 18 at St. Ann’s R.C. Church in Hoboken for Frances Anne Bryngil, 76. She passed away peacefully on Nov. 16, at the Villa Marie Claire Hospice in Saddle River, surrounded by family. Frances was born in Jersey City, was raised in Hoboken, and resided in Weehawken for most of her adult life. She was a retired high school teacher, with many years at Weehawken High School and also at St. Michael’s High School in Jersey City and Holy Family High School in Union City. Fran inspired and touched many students throughout her career. She was also principal of the St. Lawrence CCD in Weehawken in the 1970s.
Frances was predeceased by her husband Matthew and her parents, Jennie and Nicholas Quagliano. Mother of Judith (Judy) Treston and her husband Robert, Jacqueline (Jackie) Corboy and her husband Daniel, and David Bryngil and his wife Nina; grandmother of Colin and Aidan Corboy and Daphne Bryngil; cousin of John DeStefano and Patricia Pope, as well as many other family members. Services arranged by the Lawton-Turso Funeral Home, Hoboken.
