92, of Surf City, NJ, passed away on Friday, December 5, 2014. James had a loving and generous heart, and was always giving to others. James was born in Bayonne to the late Giuseppina (nee LoDaino) and Vincenzo Barresi on May 20, 1922. He retired from Exxon Research and Engineering in Linden, NJ. He was a member of the Elks and the Moose lodges. James is survived by his five children Josephine Davies of Alaska, James Barresi, Jr. of California, Catherine Giannace of Brick, Nicholas Barresi of Bayonne and Thomas Barresi of Wall; 10 grandchildren Dawn Marie Colquhoun, Nicholas Barresi, Jr., Jason Barresi, Melissa Miller, Bobby Brown, Kate Carr, Jacqueline King, Rosemary Barresi, April Barresi and Harrison James Davies; 9 great-grandchildren Jared Colquhoun, Isaac Barresi, Gabriella Brown, Elliot Barresi, Izayah Brown, Brady Carr, Jr., Nicholas Barresi III, Sophia Barresi and Sterling Carr. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Deborah Hospital Foundation, 212 Trenton Road, Browns Mills, NJ 08015. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Georgette Wallace, the Stafford Medical Group and the Meridian at Home staff for their support in his final days.
