BAYONNE – The Port Authority of New York & New Jersey has released the week’s schedule for closures and 20-minute traffic holds for the Bayonne Bridge.
The closures will be: Monday, Dec. 15 – 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., Wednesday Dec. 17 – 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., Thursday Dec.18 – 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., and Friday Dec. 19 – 11:59 p.m. to 8 a.m.
There will be no closure on Tuesday, Dec. 16, due to the first night of Hanukkah.
The Dec. 19 bridge closure will be the final one, overnight or weekend, for 2014, the authority further announced.
To facilitate pier segment delivery and construction at worksites in Bayonne and Staten Island, 20-minute traffic holds are scheduled for Dec. 15, 17, and 18. The traffic holds will occur at the top of the hour, and may occur between the hours, of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., according to the authority.
