Dear Editor:
I call on our mayor to finally do the right thing and stand up for our city, Hoboken voters and all the people who ran in the recent Board of Education election! I believe illegal activity has plagued all of our elections for far too long and our mayor does nothing about it. At what point will she personally contact the NJ Attorney General and request an official case be opened?
The very Pro-Zimmer blogs talk about this daily, so I am actually surprised that the mayor does not actually do something, considering her faithful supporters are crying about this travesty consistently. Who does Zimmer actually listen to?
What is our mayor waiting for? Our elections are a travesty. I believe they are 100 percent fake. For those who do not know, illegal vote by mail seems to plague our city. We bury this fact and go on with business as usual. I believe a person/people in our town pay people $35 and sometimes up to $50 for their vote. I believe they pick up these vote by mail ballots and fill them in for those they want elected. It is a fact that in this most recent school board election the people who received over 450 vote by mail ballots, in which one person won a school board seat, received four times the amount of vote by mail votes than the next closest person. That is a reason enough to open an investigation by the attorney general. Four times!
I believe our mayor knows who is responsible but does nothing. Maybe she is afraid? I believe she knows that our elections are compromised because she needs this activity to continue to help her get re-elected! Mayor Zimmer, do you look the other way?
Vote by Mail was developed for all the right reasons, but in Hoboken I believe it has created fraud and illegal activity. I am asking all the residents of Hoboken that want to see this stopped to urge Mayor Zimmer to have a formal investigation opened immediately and save our future elections.
I would also encourage a new election for the previous Board of Education election that I believe was bought and paid for by illegal vote by mail activity.
