MEH-MAGEDDON! State travel ban lifted Tuesday; streets cleared; a little snow expected Friday; shelter needs donations

HUDSON COUNTY — The New Jersey State Police lifted a travel ban on Tuesday morning after the supposed “historic” blizzard failed to materialize overnight. Plows cleared snow in the streets, but cold temperatures and wind still kept some indoors. Accuweather still insisted 3-6 inches were possible for later on Tuesday, as light flurries gently danced down around the county.
A little snow is predicted for Friday, and possibly for Monday. Otherwise, temperatures will be in the teens and twenties.
Due to the Winter Storm Emergency PERC was in dire need of donations as hosted a vast number of people coming in to avoid the blizzard. They run a shelter in Union City, and other services.
They wrote:

SUGAR
STYROFOAM CUPS
We can also use the following:
sliced bread
pre-made sandwiches
sandwich bread
cold cuts
cases of water and juice
IF YOU CAN DONATE PLEASE BRING DONATIONS TO 111 37th STREET BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 12PM AND 5PM!”
