A mass of Christian burial was held Jan. 15 at St. Nicholas Church for Helen Hill of Jersey City. She passed away Jan. 10, surrounded by her family. A lifelong resident of Jersey City, Helen was employed as a school bus attendant for Winsale Bus Company in Jersey City before retiring several years ago. She was also an active member of the PTA, as well as a participant in the school lunch program. Helen was predeceased by her husband James Hill. She was the mother of James L. Hill and his wife Sonia, Lawrence Hill and Jacqueline Parrales and her husband Julio; sister of Margaret Carney; grandmother of Arron Hill, Amanda Parrales and Sarah Marie Hill. Helen is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Services arranged by the McLaughlin Funeral Home, Jersey City.
