88, passed away on February 27, 2015. Born in Bayonne, he was a lifelong resident. He served his in the U.S. Army during WWII and was a rifleman in combat for Company K of the 104 Infantry 26th Division. He was awarded the Combat Infantry Badge; European African Middle Eastern Campaign Medal; Good Conduct Medal; WWII Victory Medal ;Army of Occupation Medal; and the Hudson County Distinguished Military Service Medal. He was a salesman in the graphic arts and book binding business and retired from the Mueller Martini Company of Long Island N.Y. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 371; a lector and member of the Holy Name Society of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church ; active with the Boy Scouts Troop 19; was the past president of the Fathers Club at Hudson Catholic High School; and past president of the Metropolitan Binders Association of New York City. He was predeceased by his parents, several siblings and a sister-in law. He is survived by his wife Clara (nee: Usarzewicz); his sons Paul Durak and his wife Marisol; Steven Durak and his wife Eve; Thomas Durak and his wife Frances; and grandchildren Amanda, Leah, Phoebe, Anna and Gwenyth; his sister Sr. Dianne Marie Durak; and sister-in-law Christine Durak, as well as many others.
