Liberty State Park should not be privatized

To the Editor:
We are writing in regard to Liberty State Park. The corrective Assembly Bill 4196
does not do what was promised by Assembly Speaker Prieto. We do not want the Meadowlands Commission to make any decisions on what should take place in Liberty State Park. We oppose Gov. Christie’s’ attempts at privatizing the park. The park should be open and free to the people. Any events held at the park should be short-term and should not have a permanent physical
presence in the park. Please give us the legislation that the people want to keep Liberty State Park under DEP control and open and free to the public.
