Congratulations to Billy Broderick

To the Editor:

I was so delighted when my phone rang and I heard the wonderful news that the Board of Education was finally going to honor Billy Broderick for his devotion and hard work by naming the tennis courts in his honor. I worked for many years at the Bayonne Board of Education, and always respected and admired Mr. Broderick’s dedication, work ethic, and love for the game and for his students. Whether it was when people arrived in the morning or left at the end of day, people would always see Mr. Broderick teaching his students. Mr. Broderick always conveyed to his colleagues and his students professional courtesy, and he worked so diligently with pride and love. There is validation that as a tennis coach he reigned as The King of the Courts! Just check out his record of all the winning matches. I guess the old saying is true, patience is a virtue and Pally I am so proud and happy that this honor is bestowed on you. If Sinatra were here he would sing, “The Record shows, you took the blows and did it Your Way!” Pally, I wish you the best for “The Best is Yet to Come” and I think you are “Marvelous, too Marvelous For Words!” You deserve a standing ovation for a job well done! Congratulations, Pally.
