Bayonne parade honors patron saint of Ireland

BAYONNE – Only two days removed from the city’s most recent snowfall, the luck of the Irish conjured up sunny skies and temperatures in the low 40s for the 2015 Bayonne St. Patrick’s Day Parade on Sunday, March 22.
The annual parade kicked off at 1 p.m. from 5th Street and Broadway on its way up the avenue.
Hundreds of marchers, representing dozens of groups from Bayonne, Hudson County, and beyond, strutted their stuff as they moved up Broadway to the cheers and applause of thousands of onlookers.
The parade featured marchers from the city’s police and fire departments, schools, and a number of cultural and civic organizations, among others.
