RUIU, JOHN P.

89, a longtime resident of Bayonne, passed away on March 9, 2015. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and was awarded the Victory Medal, the American Theater Medal and the Asiatic Pacific Medal. He spent the majority of his career as a planner and estimator in the engineering department of the Military Ocean Terminal in Bayonne, retiring in the early 1990s. He is survived by his wife Carmela (nee: Provenzano); his daughter Jody M. Ruiu-Geisert and her husband Steven; his grandchildren George R. and Giovanna R. Geisert; his sister Josephine Bonnie Smith and her husband Walter; Claire Falciani; sister-in-law Rolene Ruiu; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends.
