NORTH BERGEN – Drivers are advised to proceed with caution along River Road in North Bergen and Guttenberg. Cars passing over the hill at the intersection of Ferry Road are descending directly into a small lake generated by the fast, heavy rains this morning.
Waterfalls draining down the hill from the Palisades along with water bubbling up from storm drains near the Guttenberg-North Bergen Park is pooling on River Road about a quarter mile south of Palisades Medical Center.
Unsuspecting drivers are plowing straight into the water, creating plumes big enough to warm a surfer’s heart.
