WEST NEW YORK – Hundreds of local residents benefited from free health screenings and information during the West New York Cuban Lions Club and Palisades Medical Center’s annual Community Health Fair on April 12. The free community event was held in the Community Hall on 52nd Street in West New York.
Each year, the West New York Cuban Lions Club and Palisades Medical Center team up to sponsor the health fair. Several physicians were on hand this year to answer questions while attendees learned the keys to leading healthier lifestyles through free information and health screenings that included blood pressure, dental, eye/vision, glaucoma, heart rate, percentage of oxygen in the blood, respiratory and sleep disorder information, and blood tests for diabetes-HgbA1c.
