Little Leaguers march proudly through town

North Bergen Mayor Nicholas Sacco and his team of commissioners, along with Commissioner Candidate Julio Marenco, Freeholder Anthony Vainieri and North Bergen Chief of Police Robert Dowd, joined hundreds of local children at the township’s annual Little League Parade on Saturday, April 18. The town officials and all the children and parents paraded from James J. Braddock Park down Bergenline Avenue to the baseball field on 76th Street across from the High School.

“It is very pleasing to see children and parents enjoy this great program,” said Sacco. “Our children have one of the best recreation programs in all the state and everyone has a great time during the games. I look forward to seeing some great baseball and softball this season.”
