Noise on the north waterfront

Dear Editor:
The waterfront has vastly changed since I first moved to Hoboken 16 years ago. I have to say for the most part it has been a marked improvement. When Pier 13 opened a few years ago it was a great neighborhood spot and a fun place for families to spend time. However, what has recently occurred has been an abomination. It has now become a destination spot for out of towner’s who are drunk and disorderly. There is no police presence or security. I have to keep my windows closed because there are drunks screaming and yelling outside my apartment window.
I have spoken to many of my neighbors and friends and we are concerned that there is going to be a shooting or a stabbing. Unfortunately, it will take something like this for change to be enacted.
