Bridgemen alumni are Lyceum League champs

The Mount Carmel Lyceum bowling league season concluded on May 20 and Bridgemen Alumni have claimed the top spot in the league once again. The championship team consisted of Artie Bernard Jr., Tom Perricane, Steve Mallardi Jr., and Jack Nilan. John’s Midtown Tavern finished the season in second place, charging to the finish line after being in last place at the end of January. The third place prize went to Amspec Services.
The rest of the league final standings for the season were as follows: Dworzanski’s Funeral Home, Supreme Tours, Broadway Bus, S. Fryczynski & Son’s Funeral Home, and The Starting Point Bar & Grill.
The league officers would like to thank all the league members and sponsors for supporting this long-running league, thus allowing it to have yet another successful season to add to its already storied history. The Lyceum League began its existence long ago in 1945, and celebrated its 70th anniversary this season. A season-ending banquet will take place on June 5 to celebrate the history of the league, and to present awards to the league members.
