Weather causes flooding in Hoboken, accident for resident and football player Steve Weatherford

HOBOKEN — Some streets on the west side of Hoboken were flooded during the strong storms of Sunday night. One resident, Debbie Freedman, took this photo of flooding at Ninth and Madison streets.
By Monday morning, a few puddles remained on that corner, and there was debris scattered in the area.
Media reports said that Hoboken resident Steve Weatherford, a Giants player, was returning to Hoboken on the New Jersey Turnpike at 3:30 a.m. when his car hydroplaned and got into an accident. State troopers drove him home. He was uninjured. His wife had also given birth to their fourth child, a daughter, earlier that day.
