Bayonne Little League major division championship game one

Stop & Shop defeats Houlihans 10-5 in the first game of the Little League championship. Houlihan’s Miguel Palmer drove in two runs with a single in the first inning. Stop & Shop immediately came back with a two-run single by Brad Deczynski. Houlihan’s Randy Leonardo hit a three-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put Houlihans up 5-2. Stop & Shop once again answered with five runs in the bottom of the fourth to get ahead of Houlihans, and Deczynski closed out the last 2 1/3 innings without allowing a run. Nick Rodriguez capped off the fourth inning by hitting a three-run home run.
Stop & Shop had hits by Ryan Griffin, Olivia Torres and Milachouski, who also performed well as the starting pitcher. Despite losing, Randy Leonardo performed well as Houlihans’ starting pitcher; and Christian Hampton and Jayshaun Foster each recorded hits.
