A mass of Christian burial was celebrated June 20 at St. Nicholas Church for Victoria Howard, 96. She passed away peacefully at her home on June 16. Victoria was born in Jersey City and was a lifelong resident. She was employed by Merrill Lynch in New York City, retiring after more than twenty five years of service. A longtime and faithful communicant of St. Nicholas Church, Victoria was also a member of The Golden Age Club and The North Street Seniors Association. Victoria is predeceased by her husband Elmer G. Howard. She is survived by her children, Elmer G. Howard, Jr. and Mary Margaret Ioviero and her husband Neil, niece Mary Catherine (Kate) Dwyer and nephew Anthony Dietzel. Victoria is also predeceased by siblings Nicholas Duva, August (Gus) Duva, Dorothy Dietzel, Marie Gallagher and Eleanor Nemrick. Services arranged by the McLaughlin Funeral Home, Jersey City.
