A funeral service was held June 18 at Porter Memorial C.O.G.I.C Church, Jersey City, for Elsie Metoyer of Jersey City. She passed away on June 10 in Jersey City. She retired from the Hudson County Correctional Facility in Kearny on April 1, 2006. She was the wife of Herbert Michael Metoyer; mother of Fabian (Keisha) Metoyer, Yakubu Metoyer, and Angela Metoyer; grandmother of Myazia Aniyah Metoyer and Fabian Metoyer Jr.; sister of Pastor Namon (Evelyn) Burroughs and Bessie Lue (Robert) Langley; niece of Sara T. Johnson, Sallie Cunningham; best friend Shirley Perry; and special friends Louvenia Pridgen and Bernadine Taylor. She’s also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Services arranged by the Watson Mortuary Service, Jersey City.
