FLORES, ORLANDO JR.

A funeral service was held July 17 at Monumental Baptist Church, Jersey City, for Orlando Flores, Jr., 34. He passed away July 5. He was the son of the late Orlando Flores Sr. and Ana Castro of Hoboken. Orlando was one of four children. At the age of three Orlando enrolled in the Hoboken Public School System, then attended the Apex Technical Institute of New York, which taught him what he loved the most, which was working with cars, then later worked as an Auto Mechanic.
He was predeceased by his mother Ana Castro, and father Orlando “Cheo” Flores, and his sister Elena Wilson. Orlando’s memory is left to be cherished by his son Orlando Flores III and his step daughter Destiny Montanez; his girlfriend/mother of child Cherry Giron; his two brothers Manuel Castro and Giovanni Castro; the godmother who took part in raising Orlando, Nancy Centeno; aunts Yolanda Flores, Maria Flores, Delia Flores, Rosa Flores; Uncles George Flores, Raul Flores and the late Midnight Castro; cousin Yolanda Rosario but brothers he was most close to, Tony Centeno, Hector Collazo, and Freddy “Knight” Castro. Also a host of nephews and nieces, and other close relatives. Services arranged by the Jackson Funeral Residence, Jersey City.
