Dear Editor:
I thought Mayor Zimmer’s fiscal policy of not deploying funds to repair streets littered with potholes was a brilliant way to solve our flooding problem but it was not to be. Federally reported inflation has been non-existent for nearly a decade – but taxes in Hudson County and Hoboken, seemingly immune to the effects of gravity and global disinflation, are on a one way trek higher.
I sure am glad we got those new 4 figure eco-friendly garbage cans and replaced all those sidewalks that didn’t have a single chip of concrete missing from them. Tax and spend is this administration’s motto – or rather tax and issue parking tickets to residents.
