78, of Largo, Fla., passed away August 5, 2015. Born in Jersey City, he was a veteran of the U.S. Army who retired from Boilermakers Local 28. He is survived by his sister Patricia McCreesh; Joseph and Suzanne Ballance; Timothy and Carlene Ballance; Laureen and the late Michael Colombo; Cheri Ballance; Jeffery and Geralyn Ballance; Dennis and Jamie Wright; and Joseph and Jennifer Mortola; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces; and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Edith “Cookie” Ballance. His longtime companion was Eleanor Flickenger. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the Wounded Warriors Project.
