JERSEY CITY — Shamond A. Clark, 29, of Hamilton, was arrested by Jersey City police Wednesday about 30 minutes after allegedly robbing a local bank around 9 a.m. The proceeds of the robbery ($1,983) were recovered at the time of his apprehension.
The weapon used in the robbery, a silver BB gun, was recovered from Clark’s hotel room after police executed a search warrant for the room.
Clark had stayed at the Courtyard Marriott on Washington Boulevard the night before the robbery, checked out in the morning, and then allegedly went on to allegedly rob the Bank of America on Pavonia Avenue.
Clark was charged with robbery, unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for unlawful purposes, aggravated assault, and certain persons not to have a weapon.
