Farewell Carlo!

Dear Hoboken Reporter community:
I wanted to take the opportunity to thank and bid farewell to Carlo Davis, the staff writer for the Reporter who has been covering Hoboken since June 2014 and will be leaving at the end of August. I believe he has been such a great addition to the Hoboken dialogue covering a diversity of topics which celebrate, highlight or impact members of our community.
I have had the pleasure of being one of his many, occasional sources for his articles, in particular for the stories which he has written on the proposed Monarch development. In those articles, as with many of his others, I find that he always has a great command for the subject matter on what are often complex issues. And in a landscape that can often be very dramatic, I appreciate that his articles err on the side of informative over bias (although sometimes I wish he would be more biased towards my position…!)
For those who may not be aware – and I was not until I wrote this note – for his coverage of our community, Carlo won a prestigious New Jersey Press Association journalism award in February of this year for the category of novice reporters – The Robert P. Kelly Award. A belated congratulations goes out to him.
His email for a few more days is cdavis@hudsonreporter.com if you are interested in sending him a note.
Wishing Carlo all the best in what lies ahead him!
