SECAUCUS – Join a free two-hour walk at Mill Creek Marsh Trail in Secaucus to look for raptors, waterfowl, and fall migrants on Sunday, Sept. 6 from 10 a.m. to noon. Perhaps the most enduring impression of this 209-acre natural area is the view of dozens of Atlantic White Cedar stumps in one of the marsh’s tidal pools (pictured). They are the last vestiges of a primeval forest that once covered a third of the Meadowlands for hundreds of years. For information and to register, email greatauk4@gmail.com or call (201) 230-4983
