BUCK, LAWRENCE “LARRY”

62, passed away on September 22, 2015 after suffering many years from complications related to heart disease. He was a long-time resident of Bayonne and became passionate about local politics. As a concerned citizen and strong advocate for people with disabilities, he addressed the City Council on a number of occasions. He was a master at debating anyone on any subject and felt comfortable taking either side in an argument. Just like his dad, prior to Larry’s retirement, his professional career was in the global shipping business and was an import/export freight forwarder. Larry is survived by his wife Barbara A. Buck and his son John P. Buck of Bayonne. He is also survived by his brother, John E. Buck (Linda) of Baltimore, MD, and his nephews and nieces: Sean; Samantha; and Kristen Buck; Lauren Gaspar and Philip Bianchi. He is pre-deceased by his parents, Jack and Mary Buck; his brother, Brian Buck; his sister, Mary Lou Buck; and nephew Matthew J. Buck. A long list of close and loyal friends, some of whom he’s known since he was in grade school, will surely miss him. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Larry’s name to St. Barnabas Hospice in Livingston, NJ will be appreciated. Funeral arrangements by GREENVILLE MEMORIAL HOME, 374 Danforth Ave., Jersey City.
