BAYONNE — The Bayonne Economic Opportunity Foundation is offering a free Thanksgiving Day dinner to anyone who wants one.
The meal will be provided in the main dining area of Back Bay Gardens, 535 Ave. A, on Thursday, Nov. 26 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. .
Anyone is welcome to come, but they must register in advance by Friday, Nov. 20 at 3 p.m.
People can sign up at the BEOF office, 555 Kennedy Blvd., or at one of two nutrition sites; at the Back Bay Gardens or at 4th Street and Story Court. Or they can call the BEOF at (201) 437-7222.
Homebound seniors in Bayonne who are unable to attend can have the dinner delivered to them on Thanksgiving through the Meals on Wheels program. They should also call the BEOF in advance at (201) 437-7222 to arrange the delivery. Bayonne residents will receive their Thanksgiving dinners this way between 10:30 a.m. and 2 p.m.
The Bayonne Community Bank, Chandelier Restaurant, and Unico, an Italian-American service organization, are cosponsoring the dinner.
