72, passed away on December 24, 2015 at his Bayonne residence. He was born in Poland and immigrated to the United States in 1968 and has resided in Bayonne for the past 47 years. A life member of the Mt. Carmel Lyceum and its bowling league, Gene retired from the County of Hudson as an electrician. Left to cherish his memory is his wife Wanda (Kaliciak) Czekailo; his children and their spouses, Monica Kaufeler and her husband Michael, Dr. Michael Czekajlo, and his wife Isabela and Port Authority Police Officer Tommy Czekajlo, four sisters, and his ten grandchildren, Mar-celina, Makary, Cyprian, Tytus, Tyler, Dylan, Ayden, Jordan, Anastasia, and Sophia.
