Sometimes it’s a chance encounter at a bar; other times it’s at work. Residents of several of Hudson County’s towns talked last week about how they met.
For instance, Anna and Vitaly of Bayonne, both natives of Russia, met at a regional brainstorming competition, basically a quiz game, in the Republic of North Ossetia, near the border of Georgia.
But they lost touch after Anna left to attend Saint Petersburg State University.
What happened next? They ran into each other again two years later on the street outside the competition where they originally met.
