At (5-1), the Bruins have had only one “hiccup” thus far, a 12-2 thumping at the hands of the (3-2) Blackhawks but since that point they have returned to their winning form as they lead the pack in the JCC of Bayonne’s Jr. Division floor hockey league. Once again getting all they could handle from the Blackhawks, the Bruins found themselves thirty minutes into the bout and deadlocked at 10-10. Fueling the scoring bonanza where the Blackhawk’s Davis Matos (4 goals, 1 assist), Aaliyana Cifuentes (6 goals, 1 assist) Anthony Baez (4 assists), and Mariam Rasslan (3 assists) while the Bruins’ one man wrecking crew, Sebastian Valles racked up ten goals with Toni Rivada (2 assists), Christian Benson (6 assists), and Brenden McCall (2 assists) serving up pinpoint passes. With less than ten minutes remaining, the Bruins’ offense kicked into overdrive by pouring in 8 unanswered goals as Valles (6 goals) and Benson (2 goals) zeroed in to stun the Red Wings’ defensive ranks. The Red Wings did land the games’ final blow as Matos notched his fifth goal of the game but the Bruins’ scoring burst proved to be the difference as the Bruins moved to (6-1) with an 18-11 win.
