Funeral mass was offered May 16 at St. Patrick’s Church, Jersey City, for Elinor Francis Davis, a lifelong resident of Jersey City. She died May 9 surrounded by her family. Born in 1923, Elinor retired from St. Francis Hospital as a central supply technician after 50 years of service. Elinor was a dedicated member of St. Patrick’s & Assumption All Saints Parish. She had a passion for reading. She enjoyed working with puzzles, and loved watching sports. Elinor was a loving wife and a dedicated mother of eleven children. Elinor was predeceased by her parents, three brothers and three sisters, her husband Wellington Davis Sr., and three children Angela, Anthony, and Marion. She is survived by her sister Doris Lee; two sister-in-laws Marion Hill and Alma Davis; eight children, Wellington Jr.(Patricia), Michele Neal (Cleveland), Victor (Denise), Keith (Susan), Kevin (Darlene), Elinor (Aubry-deceased), Mark (Belinda), Judy (Denise-deceased); and 15 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
