Sitting at (3-0-1), the Devils have a slim grip on the top spot in the JCC of Bayonne’s Sr. Division floor hockey league. Perched on their doorstep is the (1-1-2) Islanders who recently held the high scoring Devils to a 1-1 overtime draw. Jumping out to a 4-0 lead, the Devils dominated early on as Jacob Kowal and Drew Radil each notched a pair of goals. With their offense floundering, Alex Riboldi took the bull by the horns and forced in a goal off an assist by Alejandro Cifuentes to put the Devils on the board making it 4-1, Isles. Inspired by the effort, Zachary Ciesmelewski, Tristan Wolenski, Mariam Rasslan, and Cifuentes each launched darts on net for the Devils but the Isles’ Shawn Agosto weathered the storm, mostly with one glove save after another. Anchored by Agosto at net, the Islanders went on another scoring spree as Radil (1 goal, 1 assist), Kowal (2 goals, 1 assist), and Elliot Santana (1 goal, 2 assists) sealed the Islanders 8-1 win.
