Responding to the cause

To the Editor:

This May, Bayonne Bites took on the challenge of providing meals and volunteer staff for the Bayonne Soup Kitchen for three weeks of the month. With the tremendous support of Bayonne Bites members, the community and local businesses, we were able to serve the guests every Saturday. I would like to personally thank each and every one of you for responding to the cause, and giving so cheerfully of your time and talent. Additionally, I would like to acknowledge the generosity and strong support of some local businesses who contributed as well: Antonio’s & Vincent’s, Buttero’s, Judicke’s, Little Food Café, Moma Rosa’s, Pizzalino’s, Paulanto’s and Sernechia’s. Through their extreme generosity, we were able to serve many tasty, nutritional meals to the less fortunate. Please remember to support these fabulous businesses that give back to our community. They are vital to our progress. I am, personally, very thankful for your commitment to Bayonne, and to the Bayonne Soup Kitchen.
The Bayonne Soup Kitchen operates every Saturday, 4 to 5 p.m., at All Saints Catholic Academy’s cafeteria. If you would like to volunteer, please go to register at: https://signup.com/mobileweb/2.0/vspot.html?activitykey=89692060808#anonymous_invite_page or the Bayonne Recruitment Groups/Bayonne Soup Kitchen page on Facebook. Please, come join in the efforts of growth and development of our community. Many hands make light work. We welcome your participation.
