A funeral service took place Oct. 3 at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Hoboken, for Walter Lenox Groomes Jr. of Hoboken. He passed away Sept. 21. He was the son of Walter Groomes Sr. and Linda Groomes-Steed; brother of Warren, Tamara and Shamina Groomes; stepson of Tyrone Steed; special friend of Arelis Figueror and Deborah Sharperson. Also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
