Parts of Hoboken train terminal flood as repair crews try to fix damage from Thursday’s deadly crash

HOBOKEN — Repair crews fixing damage done to the Erie Lackawanna Train Terminal on Friday morning — following a crash that took the life of a young Hoboken mom and injured more than 100 people — had an extra challenge when a rainstorm caused some flooding from the Hudson River into parts of the terminal.
Commuters coming into the terminal from the light rail station, and exiting or heading to the PATH trains, were forced to walk on wooden pallets to avoid stepping in deep puddles.
Meanwhile, the NJ Transit commuter trains into and out of the station were not running Friday morning, but PATH and light rail trains were.
