HOBOKEN – Mile Square Theatre will christen their new theater space with the Obie Award Winning play “Circle Mirror Transformation” written by Annie Baker and directed by Chris O’Connor. The play will begin performances on June 15 and celebrate its gala opening night on June 16 and will run through July 2.
The New York Times called “Circle Mirror Transformation” absorbing, unblinking and sharply funny. The play follows an unlikely group of strangers in a small Vermont town who take an acting class where their personal stories are revealed comically and heartbreakingly through a series of misguided acting exercises.
Performances are Wednesday – Saturday at 8 p.m., and Sunday at 3 p.m. Mile Square Theatre is located at 1400 Clinton St., Hoboken.
Tickets are $30 ($18/students and seniors) and can be purchased by visiting milesquaretheatre.org. Tickets for the opening night gala are $125.
The 2016 Mile Square Theatre Season is sponsored by Bijou Properties, The Burgiss Group, CSB, Ironstate, Jet.com, Hufnagel Landscaping, and The Rockefeller Group. Mile Square Theatre is supported by the Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation
