Dear Editor: It is very nice and proper that the Hoboken schools honor Rev. Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday. He was a true hero. I have noticed every time we ask the schools in Hoboken to participate in the annual Memorial Day Parade, some of them half-heartedly do. But I do think our deceased veterans should be equally honored on Memorial Day. Without these brave men and women laying down their lives for our freedom, there would not be a Rev. Martin Luther King Day. Roy Huelbig, Member Hoboken Memorial Day Parade Committee
