Letters from Sts. John and Ann school children

Dear Editor: I am writing to you because of the littering problem outside our neighborhood. So many people keep littering and it makes the neighborhood look dirty. Also some people don’t put the papers in the recycling bin neatly and the papers get blown all over the place by the wind. Now all the papers are stuck to the ground because of the ice. Please put this problem in the newspaper and tell people not to litter anymore. Desiree Kraszyk Dear Editor: I think there are pollution problems in my area. People throw things. I don’t want it to be a junk yard. I don’t like the way that the people care for the environment. I think we should do something about it and do it now. People walk their pets and leave their waste on the street. We need to have harder laws for this. Jonathan Rivera Dear Editor: There has been a problem in my neighborhood and it is there are not enough spaces for the cars to be parked. Thank you for listening to me. Bianca Frago Dear Editor: There is not enough parking space here and people park their cars in front of someone else’s driveway, but not a lot of people go by so we can cross the road without an accident. There is not a lot of kids here but it feels like there is one hundred. Chetna Mehta Dear Editor: In my environment there are some problems, but the one I would like to tell you about is the stray cats. They come in my garden and they dig up the plants, dig holes and make it unsafe for us to go in the garden. Another example is when I walk home from school, sometimes the cats just jump out from nowhere! What do you think I should do? Dipika Agrawal P.S. Write back Dear Editor: Everyday I see more and more cars coming in to Jersey City. So that means to me more and more pollution. I think that all the big companies that are moving to Jersey City should get vans or mini buses to car pool their workers to work and back home. That means about 30 or more cars per companies that won’t be polluting Jersey City. Sylvia Kapsis Dear Editor: My block is fine. It is a library, stores and learning centers and cake shops. The only problem is it is crowded. If you want to park your car, you have to get there early. It is very hard to find a parking place these days. If you take your car out of a parking and come back a few hours later, that spot will be taken. The only way to solve this is to build more parking lots. Mina Gayed Dear Editor: There is the biggest problem about parking cars. Everybody keeps on taking our parking. I wish we each had a parking number so we don’t have a problem. I also wish everybody was nice cause sometimes people in the vestibule just come up to us and punch and kick us just cause we’re Indians. Dipesh Nayee Dear Editor: The park is very polluted. There is hardly no parking because of a new building they built. My street is polluted too. The ground is covered with people’s food and garbage. Brandon McCauley P.S. Please help people not litter or pollute Dear Editor: On Garrison Avenue people don’t curb their dogs. Sometimes people don’t pick up their dogs. I think people should do something about this. If people don’t curb their dogs the neighborhood will become a mess. Trina Gomes
