Dear Editor: The ancient law is that matrimony in this world is to endure to the end of life! This is so stated, that there may be presented more manifestly to the reason the necessity, the utility and the truth that where there is not genuine conjugal love it is yet to be feigned, or to have it appear as if there were true love! It would not be so if marriages entered into were not convenated to the end of life, but were dissolvable at will, as they were with the Israelitish nation, which arrogated to itself the liberty to put away wives for whatever cause. As the marriage covenant is therefore a covenant for life, it follows that appearances of love and friendship between married partners are necessities! That the matrimony contracted is to endure to the end of life is from divine law! Because it is from divine law it is also from rational law and also from this from civil law! While a husband can have many women he can have only one wife! Does anybody want to admit that the touted solution of divorce is not the right answer as is seen in the horrible mess of divorced persons who took the so-called easy way out of marriage? The ancient law is that matrimony in this world is to endure to the end of life! Any questions? John Sabol
