JERSEY CITY — TechInsurance, the nation’s leading online agent for IT businesses, recently released their top cities for tech entrepreneurs. Both Queens and Jersey City cracked the list.
IT is one of the fastest-growing industries tracked by the Bureau of Labor Statistics, expecting an increase of employment in the field by 13.1 percent in the next 7 years. There was also a jump in plans to increase spending on IT services in 2016 – so it’s safe to say tech jobs are booming.
Queens and Jersey City have been big proponents of growing the tech industry, but as you know, there are so many reasons to live in the Tri-State Area. Here is an excerpt from the TechInsurance report:
“As more people call Jersey City home, the city is seeing a lot of change, including an influx of coffee shops, art galleries, restaurants – and tech businesses. Often referred to as the ‘sixth borough,’ thanks to its proximity and easy access to New York, Jersey City is a great option for entrepreneurs, who enjoy many of the advantages of being based in New York without the high costs.”
