To the Editor:
So much attention is focused on the left/right argument, the Republican vs. Democrat debate. The media is in control of who they will support, and it is no hidden secret that most media outlets support the Democratic Party and any candidate no matter whom that candidate may be. One of the first things any group of people will do to take over a people is to take control over the media sources. The world has witnessed this time and time again. We just saw this in Turkey where the government took control over the media outlets after a failed coup, staged or not. If you can control the message you can silence anyone who will stand against you. This year’s election is not about the left, it is not about the right. This year is about the very freedom this country believes in; the very liberties you hold dear are in danger of collapse. The very country we live in is under attack. The attack is not from a foreign enemy but a domestic-born enemy. It is not a violent coup but a coup none the less. The enemies, which are the politicians, are determined to take away all your freedoms and give full control to the government. You do not have to take my word for it; you see it every single day, and it is right there in front of you. All you have to do is open your eyes and remove the rose-colored glasses. They use your emotions to hide the true agenda, which is to turn you into subjects of the government. We the people are the government; we do not have leaders, we have representatives. Those representatives do not have power; the power is with the people, and that is the design of this republic. Candidates say we are a democracy, but that is far from the truth. We are a constitutional republic, and the only one of its kind where the people are the government. The real question before you is will you stand by and watch freedom die with thunderous applause?
