Buildings were temporarily closed in Guttenberg due to threat

GUTTENBERG — On Tuesday, Guttenberg Mayor Gerald Drasheff said Town Hall and Anna L. Klein school were evacuated and closed until more information was available, after an anonymous person made a bomb threat. Reports said the threat came in an email.
The Galaxy Towers Condominium Association closed their garage briefly and then reopened it after it was searched by Guttenberg Police. However, the Association said in an email that there was no threat to the garage, and nothing found during the search.
The Police Department and mayor did not return followup calls by press time.
Yesterday, residents of Secaucus told police about a seemingly suspicious van, and a passerby in Weehawken reported a suspicious package at the Port Imperial Ferry station. Officials told the press that both were not a serious threat.
The threats occurred after an explosive went off in Chelsea at 23rd Street in Manhattan on Saturday. More than 25 people were injured, but none fatally. The PATH line had not been running that weekend.
