The Hoboken community and the Hoboken Library lost a good friend, Ruth Rejnis, last week. Ruth lived in Hoboken for many years and was an active member of many civic organizations. I met her when she served on the Library Board of Trustees and as a founding member of the Friends of the Library.
While Ruth moved to Jacksonville, Florida several years ago, she was still very committed to Hoboken and the Library. As a tribute to her memory, the Friends of the Library have dedicated this year’s Library Giving Tree in Ruth’s name. All the books and materials that the Giving Tree proceeds purchase will be inscribed with a book plate in Ruth’s name. Anyone who would like to make a donation can stop by the Library or mail one to the Friends of the Library, c/o The Hoboken Public Library, 500 Park Avenue, Hoboken, NJ 07030. Please make out your check to the Friends of the Library.
