Dear Editor:
The United Nations has proclaimed 2001 The International Year of the Volunteer. The Bon Secours NJ Health System (St. Mary/St. Francis Hospitals & The Franciscan Home & Rehabilitation Center) wish to express their gratitude to the many volunteers and auxilians who through their selflessness and compassion have served the patients and staff of our health system.
Whether it be on nursing units, gift shop, thrift shops, office settings or fund raising, these very special people deserve praise and gratitude.
During this year let us also remember the Boy/Girl Scout leaders, community athletic coaches, health organizations, ambulance corps, fire departments, church/synagogue groups who volunteer their time and talents to our community.
